DESCRIPTION:Grow your art through creative play and practice. There is a two-part option\, read description carefully! This is a two-part camp. Part A takes place June 29 & 30\, 9am-4pm and Part B takes a deeper dive on August 3 & 4\, 9am-4pm. Part B students must have participated in Part A. At checkout\, there will be an option for Part A or Parts A & B. This year's art camp will focus on CreARTivity\, a way of growing themselves artistically. Designed for youth in grades 6-10\, Part A will explore playing with paint to learn about color\, texture\, and style. Students will have a sketch book/journal and spend time in class and outdoors\, including the Jones Garden\, to use their surroundings as inspiration for creating unique\, individual pieces of art. Students who continue with Part B will be encouraged\, but not required\, to use their sketch books in the month between sessions. Part B will explore more deeply ways to expand their personal style\, including introducing some new mediums for expression.
